Ivan Varat, Managing Director of San Patrik Real Estate, participated as a speaker at the Global Symposium of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRE), held from September 27-29, 2023 in Dubai, UAE. The event brought together representatives of leading independent real estate firms from 31 countries within the LeadingRE network.
During his presentation, Varat provided an overview of the Croatian real estate market, highlighting its structure, current dynamics and key trends. He outlined the distinction between the Zagreb market, largely driven by domestic buyers, and the coastal regions, where a significant share of demand comes from international buyers, particularly from Germany, Slovenia and Austria.
He also noted that Croatia’s entry into the Schengen Area, adoption of the euro, and strong connectivity have further strengthened the country’s position as a stable and attractive destination for international buyers and investors.
The symposium gathered industry leaders across residential, luxury and commercial real estate, as well as experts in global business strategy, branding, communication, PropTech and artificial intelligence. The exchange of market insight and experience reinforced international collaboration within the network.
